Lennon wanted crepes for breakfast on his 8th birthday so we tried a recipe from ALLRECIPES.COM.
The kids wanted to help and ended up doing it all by themselves. It was a simple recipe which will be easy to remember for next time when they request it. Plus, we already had all of the ingredients in our pantry which is a huge win in my book! The kids thought it was delicious, and the crepes were GONE in minutes!
Recipe from Allrecipes.com (I doubled the recipe for our family of 6):
INGREDIENTS
1 cup all purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Add flour and eggs in large bowl. Mix well.
- Add milk and water. Mix well.
- Add salt and butter. Mix until smooth.
- Lightly oil griddle (what we did) or pan on medium high heat.
- Poor batter onto griddle.
- Cook crepe until light brown. Turn and cook other side.
- Serve with powdered sugar, Nutella, fruits, etc.
My kids like to roll it and eat it like a burrito! Give this recipe a try! Your family will enjoy it!
Lennon, the birthday boy, approved! 😀
