Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh Haul
This post was sponsored by Hy-Vee, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Have you heard?! A Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in West Des Moines on 425 S. Jordan Creek Parkway is now open!
The West Des Moines Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh is a 6,500-square-foot store. I couldn’t wait to check it out. It was perfect because my vehicle was almost on empty….Yes, I always wait the last minute ;-). I filled my vehicle up with gas and when I walked in…WOW! It’s like a smaller scale Hy-Vee with all the great things that I love about Hy-Vee! It includes pantry staple items, some fresh produce, dairy, meat, bakery items, sushi, donuts, short cut fruits & vegetables, take and bake pizzas, and other on the go meals! It also includes lots of beverages from a fountain soda wall, wine & spirits section, and a growler and crowler craft beer station.
I was also really excited because there’s a Smokey Row inside!! They have coffee, specialty drinks, milkshakes, treats, cheesecake, pie, breakfast and lunch, kids menu, and ice cream! I grew up in Pella, and I’d go to Smokey Row all the time so I was so excited to have a place that I loved growing up now close to home! It has only been open for a week, and I’ve already been in there 3 times already for either lunch to meet friends or get some work done on my laptop! Also, they have a drive-thru option!
Check out the store tour video below:
One day after spending some time working at Smokey Row, I grabbed some items from Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh. Seriously love the convenience of having a Smokey Row and the Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in one building!
I grabbed some Take & Bake pizzas to have that night. This is perfect since nights are busy with dance, soccer, and flag football practices.
I grabbed a meat cravers for Blaine and Cheese for the kids.
They had a BOGO deal on muffins, pumpkin bars, brownies, cookies, etc. so I bought 2 packages of muffins (blueberry & chocolate chip). The next morning the kids enjoyed some muffins which makes breakfast easy for us parents! 😉
Don’t mind me, I’m just over here snacking on the 2 layer guacamole/salsa dip!
Does anyone else have kids that love the Dot’s Pretzels? Pretty sure, these were all gone in one night!
I did buy a mask at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh. Kids can be pretty picky with masks. Well, she received a mask from her grandma that she really likes, and the ones at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh (West Des Moines) were the same brand! They do have various designs, but I just grabbed one at $1.99 for Mariah since she seems to be the only one who loses track of where hers is. Here she is wearing her mask before heading inside the dance studio for class!
I also grabbed some Parm Crisps. I’ve made my own “parmesan chips” before, but these Parm Crisps are convenient to have for a low carb snack. You can snack on them, but you can also add them to a salad, soup, or sandwich!
Psuedo Sue is made by Toppling Goliath which is an Iowa brewery company located in Decorah, Iowa. It’s one of Blaine’s favorite beers.
If you haven’t been to the new Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in West Des Moines, go check it out! A place where you can fill up your vehicle with gas, enjoy some coffee/breakfast/lunch at Smokey Row, and grab some grocery items or a meal to make that night, is a huge WIN in my book!
