My family of 6 and my twin sister’s family of 6 had a spring break trip to St. Louis planned last year, but we didn’t get to go because of covid. This year, we planned a spring break trip to Laguna Beach, Florida and had the best time! It’s part of Panama City Beach. We chose this beach since we heard it was nice and quiet, but it was close enough to all the things that Panama City Beach has to offer!
Call us crazy, but we rented a 15 passenger vehicle and drove from Iowa to Florida! The kids actually did a great job on the way there. The parents were quite impressed! We left around 4am on March 14th and arrived to our destination around 11:30pm.
Instead of taking a bunch of candid photos, I took a bunch of videos of our experiences. I’m so glad I did!
Here’s the video I put together of our trip:
Below are some info & photos of our Laguna Beach / Panama City Beach, Florida vacation:
Vehicle rental from AVIS. Nick (my brother-in-law) drove most of the trip to Florida and back to Iowa, but Blaine (my husband) drove when he needed a break. I’m so glad I didn’t have to drive..phew!

I asked the kids and the hubby what their favorite part of the trip was, and they all said “EVERYTHING!” I would say it was a successful trip then for kids and adults! 😉 I highly recommend going to Laguna Beach / Panama City Beach, Florida for a family vacation. There were a lot of places to go for entertainment, food, and the kids had a blast on the beach!
We took some family photos on the beach on our last night which I will post tomorrow! Stay tuned! 🙂
