The title is the most popular question I get. 🙂 I’m going to write it in this blog post so I don’t have to repeat myself (work smarter not harder right..ha!). The answer to this question is: NO, we have not sold our house YET.
Many of you know Blaine and I put our house on the market late last year because we wanted to build across the street from my twin sister, Niña’s house. We were hoping to build this spring but then there’s one problem…
Nick (my brother-in-law) and Niña own the 40 acres of land. For Blaine and I to build on their property, they have to develop it. Nick is working with engineers to get this “party” started. I guess it’s a long process because an estimated time of when we would be able to build on the property will be later this year… August or September.
We don’t really need to be in a rush to sell this house anymore, but Blaine and I both agree, it would be nice to sell it to cross it off the list of our long task list of selling and building. I’d feel like the BIG BOLD ITEM on the task list can be crossed off, and then my brain doesn’t have to think about it anymore. Plus, it would be nice to get the house showings out of the way and be done with it.
We’ve had a couple offers but just not the right one. Hopefully, we will get the right one soon. I know the person/family who decides to purchase this house in the country will love it as much as we do. I’m so curious, who it will be. I want to see how they create the space and make it into their home.
We are trusting God’s timing because His timing is always perfect. It could be this week or 4 months from now. Until then, Blaine and I will frantically clean and pick up for house showings that are scheduled (LOL) and will be looking into plans, designs, finishes, etc for the new house. That way when we get the ok to start building, we’ll be all ready! 🙂
