Featured Designer at Homemakers
Merry Christmas! I wanted to share one of my all time favorite projects on this special day!
When Homemakers had asked me if I wanted to be a featured designer, I didn’t hesitate at all! Of course, I said YES! Homemakers is one of my favorite home decor / furniture stores. It’s a place that you can literally say it’s a one stop shop! They have EVERYTHING! It’s also where I got our living room couches that many of you ask about!
The space I styled is on the second level right when you get off the escalators! Here’s what the space originally looked like:
On day one, I met with Carly, Mike, and Kylee from Homemakers. (They were the ones who I had worked closely with on this project. They were a joy to work with, but everyone there that I came across were so nice and helpful!) I then walked around the store taking photos of items I wanted to use in the space. My vision was a space that felt comfy, cozy, and felt like home. I wanted someone to walk into the space and be able to picture any of the furniture or decor pieces in their own bedroom. I’ve been really drawn to organic modern interiors and wanted a space that incorporates modern lines and natural materials. When I saw the Modus Furniture Spindle collection, I knew I wanted to use it in the space! There were so many pieces I found at Homemakers that I wanted to use so I created a moodboard to narrow it down. That really helped me stay on task with the vision I had in mind.
Here are the items available online: SPINDLE BED | UPHOLSTERED BED | NIGHT STAND | MIRROR and DRESSER
I love a boho style and wanted to incorporate lots of textures, patterns, and layers. As you’ll see in the space, I chose rugs, bedding, pillows, blankets with those three elements in mind. I did want a relaxing space so I didn’t go too bold on colors and stuck to more neutral pieces. For two different styling options, I styled two beds. One had more muted colors and the other was all neutral colors.
On Day 2, it was time to start grabbing pieces! Here was one of many cart loads! š
On Day 3, I brought in a couple Christmas trees to the space!
On Day 4, I added some greenery to the wall above the beds! Thanks Mike for helping me!
Here’s the FINAL LOOK!! I sure love how it turned out!!
This sign almost brought me to tears. Love how this turned out Carly! It’s only a sign for some people, but for me it was extra special. I told Carly: “wow… I look legit with this sign!” Carly then says: “girl, you are legit!”
Imposter syndrome is real you guys. Sometimes I don’t understand how I get opportunities like this when I know there are so many talented people out there. I work so hard, and it’s moments like this that let me know that I am doing a good job and that I am good at what I do. I tear up just thinking about this!
Check out the photos!! Love how it all turned out!
Hope you all enjoyed that!
Homemakers opens back up tomorrow at 11am! Go check out everything they have to offer this weekend and enjoy some Starbucks while you shop because it’s located inside Homemakers! Also, their Christmas decor is on sale!! Grab them while they’re HOT! They also have an outlet and clearance section inside the store for budget friendly pieces!
Thank-you again to Homemakers for this wonderful opportunity. It was so much fun! Also, thank-you to those who cheered me on, went to Homemakers to check it out for yourself, and the kind words. It means the world to me! xx
Thank-you Homemakers for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
