DIY Halloween Doormat | Fall Doormat
It’s fall and you know what that means? Fall outdoor decor!
I always see cute Halloween doormats, but it can be priced up to $60+ for a 24×36! Since I’m cheap, I wanted to see if I can make my own and save some money!
This is an easy DIY project that anyone can do to spruce up any front porch for the holidays! You’ll need a 24×36 doormat, 6″ stencil from Hobby Lobby (you can do smaller letters but I wanted big bold letters), paint sponge brush, and black outdoor paint (I just used what I already had at home).
I wanted my doormat to say “HEY BOO.” I decided to start in the middle and work my way out.
The round sponge brush worked great! No bleeding!
I then added more paint to areas that were bare. You notice the difference between B, Y which I filled in vs H, E, and O’s which I hadn’t yet.
I love how this Halloween doormat turned out!! Plus, it was so easy, quick, and I saved some money! Most doormats have a backing but since this one doesn’t, I can do another saying on the other side so I have another option! It’s like 2 doormats in 1!
