Chalkboard Station
We’ve had this blank nook by our stairs for over a year now, and I couldn’t figure out what to do with the space for the longest time. I could have done a kids homework station, reading nook, gallery wall, console table with accessories, etc. Lots of ideas, but I had to think: “what would work best for our family?”
I decided to make this area as a message / art chalkboard. An ever changing work of art. đŸ˜‰
I bought the RUSTOLEUM CHALKBOARD PAINT and convinced Blaine to paint it…haha! He applied 3 coats.
Gunner is curious of this change.
Below is Blaine touching up a few spots since some parts bled a little.
Ta-daaaa! I did add a GEOMETRIC RUG, FAUX PLANT, and BASKET as well as some watercolor pieces I cut from a FOX HOLLOW STUDIOS CALENDAR.
I’m sure I’ll add some more things to this area. For instance I need something to hold the chalk pens, but for now, I’m going to celebrate for getting this project finished! I’m really happy with how it turned out! It makes me smile whenever I pass it or see a glimpse of it while I’m sitting in the living room. Plus, the kids loooove that they can draw on the wall! To some it may seem “messy,” but I’m going to cherish and show off these beautiful drawings on the wall!
